New Perspectives in Fife

This project, funded by the Community Health and Wellbeing Fund, is for people with long term health conditions, or a disability, and for people experiencing severe and multiple disadvantages, including rural disadvantages. The project aims to provide boat trips and land based visits that spark new and life-enhancing interests. The project supports targeted people from North East Fife.

We will provide participants with river trips over our operating stretch of 20 navigable miles of the river Tay, complemented by land based excursions. We aim to spark interest in marine, natural and built environment resources bordering the banks of the Tay and its hinterland. We have an amazing array of wildlife on show, ranging from dolphins to seals, beavers, ospreys and sea eagles, land-based flora and fauna. As if that weren’t enough, we have fascinating heritage, and contemporary features along a substantial length of the tidal River Tay.

The project aims to inspire new experiences and interests for participants to focus upon whilst enabling them to enjoy the therapeutic effects of the experience and – not least – for them to have enormous fun!
