Missel Thrush – Taymara’s latest vessel, a 50ft Dagless motor yacht.

Missel Thrush was sold to Taymara by Graham Meyer and Lynn Atkin from Guernsey for the princely sum of £1….a splendidly generous gift in recognition of our charity’s work.

Missel Thrush was berthed in Northern France and she was sailed up to Tayport Harbour on the River Tay, her new home, by Taymara members Norman, Belinda and Bob. For the rest of us, this was the first sight of her as she approached the Larick Beacon in fine weather (the old lighthouse just outside Tayport Harbour). The weather had not been quite so fine for much of the trip north!

Missel Thrush is a 50ft motor yacht traditionally built by Dagless, Wisbech on the River Nene. The quality of her build is immediately apparent as is the fact that she has been well looked after for her entire life.

Many thanks to Graham Meyer for passing on this beautiful craft to us, to Taymara members Norman, Belinda and Bob for sailing her up and to Tayport Harbour Trust for allowing us to berth her in Tayport.
