4th May 2008 - Taymara produced 110 hours of training during the year ending 31st March 2008. There were 68 client attendances and 3 taster trips for feeder projects. 1 client gained employment through Taymara and 2 clients incidentally entered employment during the course of their training. 2 VHF short short range certificates were obtained.

These results were achieved during the period August 2007 to March 2008, which is all the more remarkable in that the continuation of Taymara activities through the winter was never envisaged as part of the original plan.

Four Taymara clients joined crews today on MVS Marigot and Piglet. Their performance in rigid inflatable boat handling and steering Marigot was impressive. Coastal passages to Eyemouth and Newcastle are planned for later in the year.
