The Taymara Project is managed by MVS Tay, which is the Dundee branch of the Maritime Volunteer Service.

The Maritime Volunteer Service promotes the education and training of members of the public in all aspects of maritime skills, including boathandling, seamanship, navigation, communications, onshore support and marine engineering.

Our vessels are all crewed and skippered by our members, people who join us to learn or perhaps to teach the skills we need to take to the water safely and responsibly. These volunteers also maintain the vessels to a high standard of seaworthiness.
