A busy schedule of passenger carrying trips on the River Tay also gives great opportunities for training new members under experienced supervision, once a basic level of competance is reached. This is Marigot approaching Newburgh on the way to Perth.

From April to October all vessels are active on the Tay. Practical training is given at sea at weekends and also on weekdays each week, tides permitting.

Intensive maintenance is carried out by all our members during the early part of each year when the boats are pulled out of the water for a complete overhaul, antifouling, repaint and anything else that needs done. This is large scale practical work and suits anyone who enjoys working with their hands or just learning how to. Instruction is given.

|
Our aim is that we actually improve the condition and specification of our vessels each year rather than simply reacting to deterioration.
